I was googling my father, Gary Koelmel, who died a few years back and i saw him listed here in the 'in memory' link. I just would like to see if anyone on here knows my dad and went to school with him. If so, please email me your memories of him. My email is bkoelmel@ocrs.com
thank you.

I can't stop talking about it. What a great time our reunion was. We had such an amazing class. My feet hurt, my legs hurt and my head hurt the next day. But so worth it. Thank you Zack Horn for being such a great dance partner. But I guess we could'nt even be close to the spectacular dancing of Cindy and David!!!!!! Marian, I did'nt even get to talk to you! We definatly have to do this again in 5 years!!!!!! Jill and I will def be there. Thanks again Guy

Diane wrote some very nice things about the reunion committee. I think all involved were very happy to help. The reward was the amazing turnout and the fun we all had together! I have to make a correction to her note, however. I did not bring someone back to life I erroneously killed someone off! I spoke to a woman who verified that her son was indeed in our class and that he had died years ago. Guy lists him on the website as deceased only to find out he is very much alive! I can only guess that the woman I spoke to had Alzheimer's or something. Short of asking for a copy of the death certificate I don't know what else I could have done to check the facts. The good thing is he is alive and well. We have lost way too many classmates already. The lesson here is be sure to register on the website and get your friends to do so also-- that way we will know where to find you next time and we won't kill you off!

I echo the sentiments of many classmates who have said so many kind words about the committee members who worked so hard to make a wonderful weekend for the Class of 1982. It really was special. And, I can say from having attended a meeting in Guy's backyard that I was thoroughly impressed at the depth of detective work that Paula, Jane, Karen, Alberto and Guy did to contact as many classmates as they could. I think Jane may have even brought a classmate back to life. You'll have to ask her for the details. But, I do want to let everyone know, from what I witnessed at that backyard meeting, how much care and thought went into nearly every aspect of planning - even in making a respectful remembrance of our classmates who have passed away. The committee did a remarkable job in making our reunion such a terrific experience. Guy had told me at one point that he began planning this reunion in memory of Laurie McLendon. I think he did a great job in doing so. Thank you to everyone who helped out in any way. Take a bow, and let's have an encore.

George is right! Without me he gets it all wrong - even when it comes to completing sentences. I think he meant to say, "I had lots of 'fun' - from the tailgate party to the Elks Club." It's okay, though - he always corrects my math.

Thanks again Guy, Paula, Alberto and everyone else. I think I saw faces that I hadn't seen since Hobby Hall. It was nice seeing everyone from elementary school which, for us, was a 30+ reunion. Plus, Margaret Clabby actually seemed to recognize me this time (I think she did).

Aside from one conversation (I can't remember who the person was that I was talking to), but aside from this embarrassing conversation, my brain is filled with perfect memories. My husband, Jim, observed that we all had a closeness that he had never witnessed at a hs reunion, that it felt like a family gathering. I thought this was an astute observation, as we are truly an All-American dysfunctional bunch. Yes, Kathy, every five years! Guy, Reunion Committee, you're the best.

Guy- What a fabulous reunion weekend you planned for our class. From the Office on Friday to the 5k,the tour, the tailgate(awesome),& finally the Elks what an amazing evening of fun. Catching up with old friends, making new ones and laughing over the awkward days of our youth. When you need a day to recover you know you had a good time. YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB GUY, YOU DESERVE ALL THE CREDIT. What an amazing turnout second only to graduation. To all those who traveled so far from their home & families Thank-You for making the effort & contributing to a great weekend. To all of the locals hopefully we can meet up again before 5 years.

Hi All, I am very glad to see the interest that all of you have taken in this. I was asked as were others to help guy to plan this event. The part we all played in this was voluntary and I know that we all enjoyed doing it for the simple reason that we would love to see everyone get together and just have a good time and remember the old days, but the person you should take a moment and really thank is Guy. Like all of us he has a very full schedule, but he took on the responsability of getting this done. Tracking people down and showing us the art of harrasing our friends to get them to logon. For me the joy was because I got a chance to start seeing some old classmates that I had not seen in 20 plus years right away. It was wonderful working with all of them. So I just want to thank you Guy for the chance to contribute. To all of you I hope that everyone really enjoys this 25th year reunion. Thank you, Alberto

People are reluctant to register--I'll say. Have you seen how great everyone who HAS registered looks? I have two words for them: Age, people! I understand the reluctance; more time is needed to lose the first "10 percent" at Weight Watchers; to let the Botox mellow; to allow the plugs to blend naturally with the few remaining strands, before photos are submitted....

My mom is finally selling the house I grew up in - 43 Hawthorne Place - Wow, there were sooooo many parties there! Some of us put our stamp on the basement ceiling by signing it and writing all sorts of ridiculous things about sex, drugs and rock and roll. Never fear, ladies, my mom got rid of our "art" before the house went on the market!!!!!!!! But talk about closing a chapter. . . by the time of the reunion in October, the house will be long gone. . . .

Wether it fate or not, I married a bontempo, which in Italian means "GOOD TIME" so now you can call me Annie Good Time, sounds like a title for a cheesey porn flick!..
